I did my first solo flight since before christmas today.

It was nice to get up there on my own, even if it was just to do cirquits around boundry bay airport. It was wierd, there were some sort of police exercise going on at the skirt of the runway, there were cop cars and they were taking down some guys in a SUV.

I'm pretty sure it was drill stuff, they must rent the airport for exercises. It still made for some interesting watching while you're coming in for a landing.

I flew FQNC a 172 cesna.

Tomorrow, Matt shoudl be coming over to show me how to use midi vid.
I'm pretty psyched. He sounds like he could use a little cash, and I've wanted to learn how to configure it all for a long time now... so it'll work out for both of us.

Yesterday I went out in a Citaborea.. it's aerobatic spelt backwards...
very fun plane. It did all sorts of loops and barrel rolls. Much harder to fly than the Cessna's but boy was it fun. (see the photo in the gallery)

Today it was back to the old "grind" puttin' in the hours in the Cessna 172.
I should be ready to right my flying test soon, It's nice to be back in the saddle again after christmas.

What is with the people that work at the passport office?

Are they trained to have no personality, or is that just one of the madatory traits to work for the federal government.

I know it's not a customer service position... but would it kill them to smile once in a while and maybe not make you feel like your doing something wrong (I am a canadian, I pay my taxes and I shouldn't feel bad about wanting a passport).

Ugh!!!.

Today obviously was my day for going to the passport office to get my passport updated since Juliet and I will be off to the big N.Y.C soon
